I'm a small-town girl with big ideas.

 

I grew up in a small town in NC, itching to get out and see the world. And that I did. I've traveled from Shanghai to Quito and most major US cities. But I'm right back in that same small town in NC where I was born. Why? Because I really like it there. The people are hard workers. We have a strong sense of humor that gets us through tough times. And we're complex, ya'll. 

 

Plus, my house was built from a 1930s Sears & Roebuck kit. Cool, right? 

 

My father always said, "Remember who you are," which at first sounds like an anti-amnesia PSA, but as I've aged, it's something I've come back to time and again as a touchstone. It's the litmus test to know if I'm doing the right thing for my heart, my family, and my clients. "Good design at the grassroots" is the goal. That is who I am. 

 

My personality is friendly and outgoing, and a little rebellious. I like pushing new directions and learning more about,...well,...everything. I've always got something cookin' up in that noggin', so allow me use my creativity for good. 

 

I've been a published cartoonist, won art competitions, taught dance, been a Marketing VP, chaired boards and done marketing for local businesses and organizations.

 

But at the end of the day, I like making stuff to make you smile.
